Kohl and Reacher meticulously followed the evidence, identifying a dead-drop site where secret documents were exchanged. As they closed in on Quinn, Kohl was assigned to make the final arrest. She dressed in her full military uniform—her nameplate reading "Kohl" prominently displayed—ready to bring him in.
Death[]
Reacher allowed Kohl to arrest Quinn as she had put all the work in on the case and she took Lieutenant Anthony Frasconi with her. Quinn killed Frasconi and then killed Kohl he removed her breasts and mutilated her before fleeing.
The Aftermath[]
Jack Reacher was so devastated by Kohl’s death that he cried. He had respected her intelligence, dedication, and courage. Her murder fueled his determination to hunt down Quinn and bring him to justice. Years later, when Reacher encountered Quinn again, he avenged Kohl by executing him, finally bringing an end to the man responsible for her brutal death.
