Doug Sears is the current director of the ATF. He was present when DEA agents Susan Duffy and Guillermo Villanueva told him his undercover agent, Annette, was dead. He then ordered the ATF to take over the case, much to Reacher's annoyance.
Biography[]
Not much is known about Doug's past, other than he worked his way up to director of the ATF by 2025. He later learned that his undercover agent, Annette, was killed by Paul Van Hoven after DEA agents Susan Duffy and Guillermo Villanueva told him due to them discovering that Bizarre Bazaar was smuggling weapons, not drugs.

Doug is an older man, with pale skin and gray hair.
Personality and Traits[]
Doug is a strict and unaccommodating individual. He reacted with anger upon discovering the death of his agent, and when questioned about his lack of awareness, he responded harshly, referencing the DEA agents and asserting that they would no longer be involved in the case.
