The Kliner Foundation is an organization that, on the surface, spends a great deal of money on the businesses and institutions of the city of Margrave, GA.
The Foundation was set up by Mr. Kliner after he moved to Margrave where he planned to run his businesses. As his businesses prospered, Kliner began distributing money to Margrave's businesses and to the city to use for maintenance and upkeep.
When Reacher arrived in Margrave looking for information about an old Blues musician, Blind Blake, he discovered that the Kliner Foundation was a front for an international counterfeiting scheme which also involved kidnapping and murder, and after tracking down and exposing the people responsible, the Kliner Foundation was put out of business.
