Neagley is an upcoming spin-off action, mystery and thriller series created by Reacher's executive producer and showrunner Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton for Amazon Prime Video. Produced for television by Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios, the series is set within the world of Reacher, and focuses on Frances Neagley. The concept was first developed by Santora and Wootton[1] before it is ultimately announced a month later by head of Amazon MGM Studios Jennifer Salke at Prime Video Presents: Trailblazers event in London. [2]

Premise[]

Frances Neagley is a private investigator in Chicago and former military colleague of Jack Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell bent on justice. Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.

Development[]

Following the success of the Reacher series, Santora and Wootton sought to conceptualize their spin-off project in an attempt to further explore Lee Child's world and the titular character in hopes of capitalizing on the success of the mothership series[2]. The project was in active development and is ordered to greenlight one month after its initial report by Deadline.com[1]

In addition to Santora and Wootton, the series is executive produced by Lee Child, Don Granger, and Lisa Kussner with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television. Carolyn Harris, Kenny Madrid, and Niko Fernandez will oversee the project for Skydance. This marks as Skydance Television’s seventh series with Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video. [2]

The project is given the alias "Dutch and Knuckles" and is expected to be filmed in Toronto from February 18 to June 27, 2025.[3]

Casting[]

On February 2025, Greyston Holt, Jasper Jones, Adeline Rudolph, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman were respectively cast as series regulars, Detective Hudson Riley, Keno, Renee, Pierce Woodrow, and Lawrence Cole.[4]
