It is a military contractor run by General James Harkness of the United States Army. It was later involved in weapon and opium smuggling and shut down by both the Military Police Corps and the FBI.
History[]
Background[]
The organization was formed sometime before 2016, and was headed by General James Harkness. The company received major funding from the United States Army. However, the company eventually couldn't make ends meet and thus resorted to smuggling weapons and opium into the United States.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back[]
Daniel Prudhomme, a soldier in the U.S. Army, discovered the companies corrupt actions and thus reported it to the 110th Special Investigations Unit of the Military Police. Two investigators of the unit, Mirkovich and Cibelli. However, they were killed by The Hunter and who framed their deaths on the unit's CO, Major Susan Turner. Much later, after traveling to New Orleans, Turner, Jack Reacher, and Captain Anthony Espin confronted Harkness at his airfield with MP's and the FBI after an attempt was made on Espin's life.
The group discovered that Parasource was illegally selling U.S. weapons on the black market as well as opium in order to pay their debts. Harkness and his associates were then taken into custody and The Hunter and two other Parasource assassins were killed by Reacher and Turner. It is unknown exactly what happened to Parasource after this but it is highly likely it was shut down by the U.S. government.
