Premise[]

The series follows Jack Reacher, a veteran military police investigator who has just recently returned to civilian life. A retired special investigator for the U.S. Army Military Police, Jack Reacher wants only to walk the country and explore the nation he once served. He has no home, no phone, and carries just a few basic items on his person. It should be a simple life, but never is, as Reacher has one characteristic even more overriding than his massive frame...he can never ignore "The Good" being harmed by "The Bad" and when he gets involved, "The Bad" always find themselves wishing they had never crossed paths with Lee Child's creation.

Each season will be based on one of the Reacher novels.

Development[]

Amazon Studios is producing the series alongside Skydance Television and Paramount Television Studios. Nick Santora will serve as Showrunner and Executive Producer, and author Lee Child will also serve as an Executive Producer.

The first season will consist of 8 episodes and will be based on the novel Killing Floor which is set 6 months after Reacher separates from the Army. He travels to a small town in Georgia looking for information about the life and death of Blues musician Blind Blake and ends up finding counterfeiting, corruption and murder.

The second season will consist of 8 episodes and will be based on Lee Child's 11th installment Bad Luck and Trouble which is set two years after the events in Margrave. Reacher and his unit are being hunted down after a member of his unit is discovered to have been murdered in the mountains. He and the surviving units ends up finding themselves in a deep conspiracy case involving terrorism.

He is the pulse of Reacher,” said Santora.
