The 110th MP Special Investigations Unit is a fictional command within the Military Police Corps. It was initially formed by Reacher as a treat for being promoted to major the second time, he was tasked with creating the Special Investigations Unit and Reacher hand picked his team of Special Investigators which were then given many of the toughest cases the army needed to investigate. The team consisted of 9 of the best Investigators within the Military Police Corps, either people Reacher knew personally or those who he had heard good things about.
The headquarters of the Special Unit is located in Rock Creek, Virginia in a 60 year old two-story building surrounded by a tall stone wall. The building was originally purchased in error by the Army and sat mostly vacant until it was selected as the headquarters for the new unit.
Reacher was the Commanding Officer of the unit for a two year period until he disobeyed a direct order and the team was formally disbanded. Through the years, many of the team's original members were killed by members of New Age Technologies. That was until Reacher gathered the remaining members and put a stop to their operation. By 2025, the team was reformed under the new leadership of Major Susan Turner.
